Spiritual Succession and Scholarly Authority
Sayed Muhammad Tanveer Hashmi is the custodian of an unbroken spiritual lineage. He holds khilafat (spiritual deputyship) in the Qadri-Shuttari silsila – the chain of transmission traced through Sheikh Wajihuddin Hussaini Alvi, through the great saints of Baghdad, Gwalior, Gujarat and Bijapur, ultimately reaching the Holy Prophet Muhammad through Hazrat Ali and Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq.
This spiritual authority manifests in his daily teaching, his supervision of student formation across the institutions, and his custodianship of the shrine and legacy of Qutub-e-Deccan Hazrat Hashimpeer Dastagir in Bijapur.
